Position Summary:
AM Batteries is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Marketing to lead, develop brand strategies, and drive our market positioning as a leader in sustainable battery manufacturing. This role requires a marketing expert who understands the clean tech space and can effectively communicate our unique value to partners, investors, and the public. You will work closely with the leadership team to develop and execute marketing strategies that align with our growth objectives and resonate with our target audience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and lead the overall marketing strategy to build AM Batteries’ brand presence and position us as a leader in sustainable battery technology.
- Brand Management: Define and manage the AM Batteries brand, ensuring consistency in messaging and tone across all platforms and materials. Data driven brand management skills with KPI setting on brand awareness, lead generation, or campaign effectiveness skills are a plus.
- Digital Marketing: Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including social media, SEO, content marketing, and website management, to increase brand visibility and engage target audiences. Expertise in analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM tools) or marketing technologies (MarTech) and data-driven marketing approaches are a plus.
- Product Marketing: Collaborate with R&D and product teams to develop and refine product positioning, ensuring it aligns with our market and mission.
- Content Creation: Lead the development of impactful content (white papers, case studies, blog posts, videos) that communicates AM Batteries’ mission and technical innovations.
- Public Relations and Communications: Manage public relations efforts, including media outreach, press releases, and partnerships with industry organizations to enhance brand credibility and reach.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape insights to refine marketing strategies.
- Budget Management: Develop and oversee the marketing budget, ensuring all initiatives are cost-effective and aligned with the company’s financial goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (MBA or Master’s in Marketing preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role, ideally in the climate-tech, battery, or renewable energy industry.
- Proven track record in brand development, digital marketing, and strategic planning.
- Strong understanding of sustainability marketing and the ability to communicate complex technical topics to diverse audiences.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience managing marketing budgets and analyzing ROI for marketing campaigns.
- Successful data-driven marketing campaign experience in a startup with references is preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
