Nirrin Technologies, Inc. seeks VPs of Product Design to provide technical leadership for the Electrical, Software, Data Science and Mechanical Engineering Teams.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with technical staff to turn design concepts into functional prototypes for optical biosensors.
• Manage risk assessment and develop mitigation strategies.
• Own the product roadmap and communicate with C-level staff, board members, and other stakeholders.
• Work with customers and the Vice President of Business Development to understand product requirements in order to modify and revise existing designs to meet customer expectations.

Qualifications:

Position requires a PhD in Engineering, Product Design, or a related field and 2 years of experience working in product design in the biopharma or sensor analytics industry. In the alternative, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Engineering, Product Design, or a related field and 5 years of experience working in product design in the biopharma or sensor analytics industry. Experience must include a minimum of:

• 2 years of experience with embedded full-stack Python software development; 2 years of experience with Linux system administration;
• 2 years of experience working with customers to identify new product opportunities; 2 years of experience designing and fabricating analog circuits;
• 2 years of experience with bioprocess spectroscopy, including chemometrics;
• and 1 year of experience managing an Agile software team.
• 5-10% domestic and international travel required.
