About nirrin

nirrin is developing sensors and analytics to enable the next generation of biological manufacturing. Using near-infrared spectroscopy we are able to attain real-time, reliable measurements of critical bioprocess parameters. We are primarily focused on applications within the biopharma industry however our technology has the potential to be used across the life sciences.

Our small but passionate team is currently working on integrating novel near-infrared sensors with other data sources to provide process control for cell culture. We are looking for a developer to join our software team and contribute to our data acquisition and analytics software.

About the role

nirrin is looking for a developer to work with our engineering team to contribute to code across the development stack. We are looking for a motivated developer that will work independently as a member of our small team.

Key activities include:

  • Building scalable software platforms to integrate data and functionality across local and cloud resources.
  • Working with our team to identify and implement new features.
  • Maintaining quality and ensuring robustness and responsiveness of applications.
  • Assisting with the design and development of new product lines.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2+ years of work experience, with a preference for candidates with hands-on technical product development experience.
  • Working knowledge of common platforms and programming languages.
  • Full-stack development experience with python and web frameworks.
  • Strong personal drive, ability to operate independently when needed, and an interest in learning.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with Docker and embedded system application development.
  • Data management and workflow development.
  • Familiarity with scalable software architecture design.
  • Experience developing infrastructure as code.
