TeraPore is seeking a self-motivated Manufacturing Technician. In this role you will be involved in building and testing our in-house membrane devices. You will be working in a small team environment with a multitasking culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Main responsibilities include assembly of multiple form factors of our VF clinical scale devices to meet production demand.
  • Suggest routes for assembly process optimization and improvement.
  • Performing routine maintenance on assembly equipment
  • Maintaining and updating inventories to update management on progress.
  • Review SOPs and write manufacturing reports.
  • Entering, recording, storing, and maintaining information in written and electronic form.
  • Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Perform all duties with accuracy and good lab practice.
  • Report results and any deviations from standard protocols to technical management
  • Constructive and cooperative working relationships with peers and supervisors.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in either a chemical lab or manufacturing environment.
  • Critical thinking skills – the ability to notice when something isn’t right and stopping work to verify next steps.
  • Must be self-motivated and work independently to achieve production objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to read and understand information presented in writing.
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Significant attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and following protocols and SOPs.
  • Be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Works well in an interdisciplinary and dynamic small-team environment.
  • Complies with company policies and practices with an emphasis on safety and quality standards.

Education:

  • Associate's degree in a technical field or 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing position.
  • Experience with laboratory, pilot or chemical operations (especially chemical synthesis) is a plus.
  • Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and/or quality control (QC) is desirable.
